well, today sucked.

the lesson i learned today was if you do bad stuff, don't get caught.

the other lesson i've learned is that authority figures absolutely adore to abuse of their power.

let me just list the lessons i learned:

• sometimes, when the obvious is too obvious, it's not.
• sometimes, a little white lie is ok.
• sometimes, you don't have to say anything, when being there is enough.
• phonecalls at 2 am are sometimes a lot more than you bargained for.
• there's always someone there to save your ass.
• there's always someone there not to.
• and if you're lucky enough, there's always someone there who knows just when and how to save your ass.
• people are assholes and love to kick you when you're down.
• the world loves convenience.
• the world hates inconvenience.
• if something is inconvenient, people will. not. do. it.
• everyone does what's good for them
• life is a b i t c h.

without the fear that your reputation will be ruined.

the you'll lose your friends.

your job.

your status.

your place.

your family.

your rights.

your dignity.

your life.

your money.

your home.

your loved ones.

your things.

your faith.

your respect.

your freedom.

what would you do if you knew there were no consequences?

would the world be a free-for-all?

or would we be controlled and bored?

would we be like animals in a zoo?

not reprimanded for our wrongs, but merely sitting in a cage, pacing.

... that's food for thought.
